Engaging Students with the “School is Cool” Brand Awareness Campaign:

There are 1,100,059 students currently enrolled in Washington State schools from K-12. Of these students, 4.7% identify as Black, 48% as White, and 47% as Indigenous people and students of color.

For teachers, one of the biggest challenges in today’s educational landscape is ensuring that students attend class and are engaged and motivated to learn. Attendance isn’t just about being physically present – it’s about being mentally and emotionally invested in the learning experience. That’s where the “School is Cool” Brand Awareness Campaign comes in, designed specifically to engage teachers and help them inspire their students to come to class excited and ready to learn.

The Campaign’s Mission: Reinventing the Classroom Experience

The “School is Cool” campaign focuses on increasing student attendance by making the classroom a dynamic, welcoming, and inclusive space. At its heart, this campaign is about showing students that school is where they belong, where their voices are heard, and where learning is fun. Teachers are key players in this mission, as they have the power to create environments that foster curiosity, creativity, and connection.

Through interactive lesson plans, innovative teaching strategies, and community-building activities, “School is Cool” helps teachers turn every school day into an opportunity for growth – academically, socially, and personally.

With 1,100,059 students currently enrolled in Washington State schools from K-12, including 4.7% Black, 48% White, and 47% Indigenous people and students of color, this initiative aims to uplift underrepresented groups and foster an inclusive educational environment. We are actively seeking funding to help bring this vision to life. The campaign will transform education into a space of empowerment and opportunity, particularly for Black youth and students of color, ensuring their success both inside and outside the classroom.
